People often think a creative job is easy. But not many understand the amount of work and energy that is, put into creating something unique, functional, and aesthetically appealing. Dam anyone who says otherwise.
On that note, let us dive into the main topic of this blog. Each designer has a different process.
1. Pre-Design Phase: The first thing in this process is, Understanding your client's requirements. Have one informal meeting with your client, you can meet them over coffee and have a general conversation about their likings, lifestyle.
You can do a small Q and A with your client to understand the colours they are comfortable with, their lifestyle, what does their dream house look like, are they open to experimenting. Ask them to send 3 to 5 reference images from the internet. I suggest you have a book or a presentation of different styles in handy so you can show them and they can choose what style resonates with them.
2. Design phase 1: Sit down with all the information you have gathered from your client. Jot down all the things that you are designing, what are your initial ideas. Take a feel of the space, Your design should revolve around your client. People living in space should be the center for your designing process.
Make your mood boards, Floor plans in this phase, material chart and your concept should be ready in this phase. Send all this to your clients and take inputs from them.
3. Design Phase 2: In this Phase work on the input, and provide the revisions and finalize the final design with 3D renders. Usually, we provide 2-3 free revisions beyond that it will be charged on the client. Reaching this phase will at least take a month.
